Support Public Education
Thank you for considering a personally significant investment in teaching and learning in the Springfield School District of Springfield, PA. We are a nonprofit organization designed to leverage community resources to benefit grades K-12 in Springfield and Morton, PA.
General and multi-year discretionary contributions support the programs and operations of SHS. Your support allows us to do what we do best, support teaching and learning in the Springfield School District.
Enhance Public Education: Our annual campaign promotes giving in support of our mission. It encourages giving at all levels ranging from $50-$50,000!
Scholarships: SAEF manages many scholarships and is the largest community based organization provider of scholarships for SHS graduates. Scholarship contributions can be made to existing funds, donor designated annually or endowed.
Donor Designated: Donor designated contributions provide extra learning opportunities for students. Example investments include: After school tutoring programs; SAILL (special education) workforce development programs; Fabrication lab programs; athletic programs; musical initiatives; technology advancements; mentoring programs and more.
Corporate/Business Sponsorships-Investments in Education: We strongly encourage corporations, businesses and foundations to invest in the future of local economy. Serving over 3,800 students annually, SHS is educating future employees.
Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC): The EITC program is a tremendous “win-win” opportunity for businesses to support the work of our foundation while also enjoying a tax credit of 75% to 90% on their state taxes.
Administrated by the PA Dept. of Community and Economic Development, the program awards tax credits to businesses that make contributions to approved educational organizations such as SAEF.
Businesses can apply for the tax credit program if they are subject to:
Corporate Net Income Tax
Bank and Trust Company Share Tax
Insurance Premiums Tax
Capital Stock Tax
Title Insurance Shares Tax
Mutual Thrift Intuitions Tax
Tax dollars are used to support awards funding, work force development programs, science ad technology advancements, purchasing of world class musical instruments, athletic programs and much more.
For businesses committing to two consecutive years of support, a 90 percent tax credit will be awarded. For businesses committing to a one year of support, a 75 percent tax credit will be awarded.
