Athletic HOF Inductees 2022
Barbara Hick Questa
Barbara Hick Questa ’84 was a four-sport athlete at Springfield High School. She played field hockey (4 years), basketball (4 years), track and lacrosse (3 years) during her career at Springfield. Barb received all Central League honors in field hockey and was named captain of both field hockey and basketball. She continued her field hockey and lacrosse career at Temple University on an athletic scholarship and was member of the 1988 National Champions lacrosse team. She also received All American Honors in 1988. Barb was inducted into the Temple Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. Since her graduation from Temple, Barb has worked in college athletics administration at various universities and currently serves as Executive Deputy Director of Athletics at St. Bonaventure University.
Brittany Piotti
Brittany Piotti ’04 was a multi-sport athlete at Springfield High School. Brittany played field hockey and lacrosse four all four years during her high school career. Her senior year she received all Central League honors and was named first team All Delco in 2004. Brittany continued her lacrosse career in college playing at Temple University and the University of Delaware.
Guy DiCicco
Guy DiCicco ’59 was a multi-sport athlete at Springfield High School. He was part of the football and baseball teams for all four years while at Springfield. Guy was named captain of both football and baseball his senior year and was a three-year letterman in each sport. He received All Delco Honors in football his senior year. He continued his football and baseball career at Wooster University where he lettered all four years in football receiving honorable mention honors All Ohio Conference and Division III All American honors. Guy continued was a captain in the USMC and worked for Corning Inc. professionally.
Marc Petroski
Marc Petroski
Marc Petroski ’90 was a multi-sport athlete at Springfield High School. He was part of the football and wrestling teams for all four years while at Springfield. Marc was an All Delco linebacker and captain of the 1989 undefeated football team which beat Ridley and ended the 26 year losing streak against them winning the Central League title. He was also a two time All Delco wrestler, a Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional Champion and a State Place Medal winner. Marc was named the 1990 Daily Times Wrestler of the Year with a career record of 98 wins. He continued his wrestling career at Central Connecticut State University where he earned All East Coast honors and also played rugby at Temple University during his college career.
Samantha Tulskie Cavanaugh
Samantha Tulskie Cavanaugh ’09 was a multi-sport athlete at Springfield High School. She played volleyball, basketball and lacrosse all four years during her high school career. Sam was named captain of both volleyball and lacrosse her senior year and was a three time Springfield volleyball team MVP. She was a two time All Delco Times Player of the Year, three time All Delco First Team honoree and four time All Central League pick for volleyball. In 2008 and 2009, Sam received All Central League and All Delco honors and was part of four straight District 1 championships in lacrosse. She was selected Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year for Springfield High School in 2009 and received four varsity letters in both volleyball and lacrosse and two years in basketball. Sam continued her volleyball career in college playing at Lasalle University.
