Stephanie L. Kosta – SHS Graduate 1993 – Achievers HOF
Stephanie L. Kosta is Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs and Community Impact for Comcast’s Freedom Region. She joined Comcast in September 2016 and leads a talented team that supports key advocacy and compliance initiatives in New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Northern Delaware. Stephanie is responsible for Comcast’s regional community investment partnerships and programs through Project UP, Comcast’s $1 billion initiative to advance digital equity.
Under Stephanie’s leadership, Comcast’s Freedom Region Community Impact team provides hundreds of local nonprofits with millions of dollars in cash and in-kind contributions each year for programming and technology.
As a member of the senior leadership team for the Freedom Region, Stephanie supports strategic planning and management of the multistate region. Stephanie has helped expand Comcast’s footprint and bring Xfinity and Comcast Business products and services to new residents and businesses. Stephanie was instrumental in the launch of PHLConnectED during COVID-19 with the City of Philadelphia. In three years, 23,000+ K-12 students in Philadelphia were connected to the Internet at no cost through Comcast’s Internet Essentials.
Before joining Comcast, Stephanie was a litigation partner at the law firm Duane Morris, LLP, and an attorney at WolfBlock. At Duane Morris, she provided counsel and government relations assistance to Fortune 500 clients and represented them in complex business litigation and class action defense. At WolfBlock, Stephanie also served as Special Counsel to the Chairman of the United States Postal Service Board of Governors.
Committed to public service, Stephanie sits on several nonprofit boards and volunteers with multiple charitable groups. Among her most fulfilling experiences is her work as a pro bono child advocate, representing adjudicated dependent or delinquent children. Her current board positions include Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Works, the African American Museum of Philadelphia, and as an Advisory Board member for the Foundation for Delaware County.
Stephanie was recently named one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2024 Women of Influence, City and State 2025 Government Relations 100 and Philadelphia Business Journal’s “40 under 40.” She was also twice named one of the Top 50 Women Super Lawyers in Pennsylvania. Stephanie is a proud graduate of Springfield High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Temple University and earned her Juris Doctor at Georgetown University.
Dana Lyn Lehman – SHS Graduate 1994 – Achievers HOF
Dana Lehman graduated from SHS in 1994 and Swarthmore College in 1998 with a degree in physics. While at Swarthmore, she was a softball team captain, a Student Academic Mentor, and earned her teaching certification. Her career in education began in Fort Worth, Texas, where she served as a physics teacher, soccer and softball coach, and Executive Director of Summerbridge Fort Worth, a non-profit program serving middle students.
Dana moved to Boston in 2001 to teach middle school science at Roxbury Preparatory Charter School, serving students in grades 6-8. She also earned her MA in Educational Studies from Tufts University. She served as the Principal of Roxbury Prep from 2004-2010, when the school had the highest proficiency levels in Massachusetts in 8th grade math.
Dana then served as Managing Director for Uncommon Schools for 6 years, growing Roxbury Prep Charter School from a single school serving 250 students to a grade 5-12 network of 4 schools growing to serve 1800 students in Boston. As Managing Director, Dana was also a member of the Uncommon Schools Executive Team as the network grew from 17 to 44 schools in 6 cities and won the Broad Prize for Public Charter Schools for demonstrating the most outstanding student achievement in the country.
Since 2017, Dana has been the Chief Schools Officer for Attuned Education Partners, an organization seeking to provide educational excellence and equity to traditionally underserved students. Attuned’s experienced practitioners combine empathy and rigor with helping PK-12 systems and leaders become well-aligned and well-equipped to deliver breakthrough outcomes for all students—especially those farthest from opportunity. She coaches school and district leaders in New England and around the country, facilitates adult learning for leaders and teachers, and helps school and district leadership teams better serve their students.
Dana and her wife Amanda have three sons, all through adoption. They adopted siblings from foster care, who were 4 and 6 in 2010, and a baby in 2014. Dana has also served on the Board of the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange, including as President for several years and an active member of Adoptive Families Together as a support group facilitator.
Carolyn Lehman Yarnell – SHS Graduate 1996 – Achievers HOF
Carolyn Lehman Yarnell is a 1996 graduate of Springfield High School and was co-valedictorian of her class. While at Springfield High School, she was an active scholar athlete and was elected Class Officer in her senior year. She also served as co-captain of the varsity soccer, varsity basketball, and varsity lacrosse teams. She won a number of commencement awards, including the Florence D. Scioscia Memorial Award.
Carolyn graduated summa cum laude from Drexel University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society for collegiate schools of business. She also won the John F. McKenna Memorial Accounting Award for outstanding academic accomplishments and service to the department and students.
Like many accounting majors, Carolyn started her career in public accounting in external audit assurance at Deloitte in Philadelphia, PA. In her first year, she passed the Certified Professional Accountant’s exam on her first try and earned her designation. While at Deloitte, she primarily served public company clients within the manufacturing and consumer products industries. She held roles of increasing responsibility for her time there and was promoted to Senior Manager.
After eight years in public accounting, Carolyn transitioned her career into industry at the Campbell’s Company in Camden, NJ, where she started in Corporate Audit, performing internal audits at Campbell locations around the world, including Australia, Europe, and various places in the U.S. Carolyn progressed her career at Campbell’s by moving into the broader Finance organization and held roles of increasing responsibility and scope escalating to her current role as the Associate Vice President of Accounting for the enterprise, leading a team of 60 employees and managing approximately $9 billion in Net Sales and $12 billion in assets on the balance sheet. While at Campbell’s, she developed and facilitated the Campbell College of Finance course on U.S. generally accepted accounting principles, partnering with professors from Drexel University. She is a Trustee for the Campbell Foundation and on the Steering Committee for the Women’s Inclusion Network in Finance.
Carolyn resides in Springfield with her husband, Will, and their three children, all attending Scenic Hills Elementary School. She is an active community member through the schools and youth sports programs.
