Springfield High School FBLA Member Competes at National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas
This past summer, one of our Springfield FBLA members, Ryan Hobbs, attended and competed at the 2019 National Leadership Conference (NLC) in San Antonio, Texas. Ryan ranked 'Top 2" in the state of Pennsylvania for his event, "Personal Finance."
FBLA, the Future Business Leaders of America, is a national organization that boasts over a quarter of a million members worldwide that strives to link business, technology, and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
Hobbs spent the week in San Antonio networking with scholars from around the world and further expanded his scope of business knowledge. In addition, hi had the opportunity to visit significant, historic attractions in Texas.
"I am extremely grateful to the SAEF Foundation for allowing me to seize this great opportunity," noted Hobbs, who also states "meeting so many people with so many different backgrounds was surreal and I would not have been to without the help of Mrs. Gill, Mr. Massimi, and SAEF."
Hobbs was accompanied by advisor, Mrs. Cynthia Gill, a computer science teacher at Springfield High School and seasoned FBLA advisor. "Ryan represented the FBLA Pennsylvania delegation and Springfield School district with the highest level of professionalism. I am very proud of his accomplishments. I am also most appreciative to Springfield High School administration and the SAEF Foundation who continue to support our Springfield FBLA members."
Springfield FBLA is anticipating continued success into the 2019-20 year, and is currently preparing for upcoming conferences!
