Springfield Area Educational Foundation Announces Board Election;
SPRINGFIELD, PA. –September 18,, 2017 – The Springfield Area Educational Foundation (SAEF; www.saef.net) is pleased to announce the following election to its Board of Trustees for 2017-2018:
Mark Schmidt- - has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Springfield Area Educational Foundation. A native of Delaware County, Mr. Schmidt has a broad educational portfolio as a teacher, corporate construction manager and officer with the Springfield Education Association. He is currently President of the Springfield Education Association (SAE) and is dedicated to working with students as a social studies teacher for 11 years at Springfield High School.
Residing in southern Lancaster County, he is a graduate of West Chester University and holds a master of education from Cabrini University, Radnor, PA.
"We are thrilled that Mark has joined our SAEF Board of Directors. He is a true supporter of Springfield public education, a proven leader and will bring immediate benefits to SAEF's mission," said Stanley Johnson (SHS '69), President of the Foundation.
